Gateway Startup Settings

You can open another Drill-Down Tally gateway file (.ddt) by clicking on menu option [File] [Open Gateway File...]. You can also change the default gateway file Drill-Down Tally starts up with by choosing the menu options [File] [Settings...]. The following dialog box will allow you to change these settings.

Change the [Gateway File Name] setting to the startup gateway application file (.ddt) that has the data you want Drill-Down Tally to report from. This is the gateway application you want Drill-Down Tally to startup with when you click on its icon from your desktop or [Start] [Programs] menu.

The [Updates Path] setting is the location where Drill-Down Tally can automatically update/upgrade itself when the program is opened. This setting is a very important to have correct when you have multiple users on a server. It allows a central location to be designated for upgrades. Example: After upgrades are installed with Install Type set to [Central Updates Install] to this directory, every user who has this same directory as their Updates Path will automatically update their local Drill-Down Tally program. Thus, keeping your application current with minimal effort.

The [Private Download Path] setting is the location of where Drill-Down Tally will download sample and filtered datasets. If this directory path is left blank, then downloaded sample and filtered datasets will be placed in sub-directories under the install path of Drill-Down Tally.

You can click the [...] button on the right-hand side of the screen to help with your selections. If you change the startup Gateway File Name, you will need to restart Drill-Down Tally from its startup icon to gain access to it.

The dialog box below is displayed after choosing menu options [Help] [About] and clicking on the [Settings] button. It has one more setting regarding the [License Key for xxxxxxxxxx], where xxxxxxxxxx is your install serial number.
