Gateway File Setup
I want to setup my own reporting application...
Choose menu option [File] [Gateway File Setup...] to bring up the gateway data type selection screen below. This is where you setup the bridge or gateway between Drill-Down Tally and the data file type you want to design reports with.

*NOTE: With the release of Drill-Down Tally 2005 and later, all editions (Standard, Premium, Professional) have merged into one edition called the Enterprise. An Educational edition is available for those who want to buy training from an Authorized Training Center and get a license to Drill-Down Tally if you don't have one already.
Here is an object illustration of how Drill-Down Tally keeps track of your gateway data and its reports.

QuickBooks
Select file type (.qbw - QuickBooks). QuickBooks database users must select the [Setup] option first. Then select a filename where your data already exist and all the necessary files are created for you to get started immediately. Click here for QuickBooks Gateway setup documentation. *Note: Currently only ACT! database versions 3-6 work with Drill-Down Tally.
Also ACT! Database [Setup] only needs to be setup once. After the setup is done first, users must choose menu option [Refresh] to fetch the latest ACT! data to report from.
