Using Port Scanner

To use the port scanner,

  • Click on the Port Scanner button (Magnifier with a blue P letter) of the Operation toolbar 
    or
  • Right click on a node and select the Port Scanner menu.

  • Range of Ports:
    Use a number for a single port : 80
    Use the - (dash) to specify a continuous sequence of ports: 80-82
    Use the , (comma) to separate single ports and sequences : 53, 80-82, 119, 1494-1496
    Spaces are allowed in the string, any combination of the above possible.
  • Save: save the current list of ports. Click this button to setup the interactive port list (not the same as the discovery port scanning list).
  • IP Address: the address to scan
  • Timeout: in milliseconds
  • Export: to clipboard or text file.
  • Stop: stop a running process.
