Tutorial Part 5

In this fifth part, we will discover how to change the default settings, and how to merge two maps together.

  1. Start NetworkView
  2. Select the menu File, Open, and choose tutorial1.nvd in the directory where you installed NetworkView (default is C:\Program Files\NetworkView3)
  3. Select the menu File, Preferences
  4. Select the Colors, Font and Print Tab
  5. Choose the Colors, Item, Page Background. Click on the [...] button on the right and select yellow. Click Apply to see the result in the current view.
  6. Choose the Colors, Item, Node Text Background. Click on the [...] button on the right and select green. Click Apply to see the result in the current view.
  7. Choose the Text, Font, click on the [...] button on the right and select "Microsoft Sans Serif" and a size of "10". These parameters will be used for the next map to be loaded. When you need a immediate change, choose the menu Edit, Choose Font instead.
  8. Select the menu File, Close.
  9. Select the menu File, Restore Default Settings and click Yes to revert to standard colors.
  10. We are now going to merge the two tutorials maps together.
  11. Select the menu File, Open, and choose tutorial1.nvd.
  12. Select the menu File, Merge, and choose tutorial2.nvd.
  13. The tutorial maps are now merged together.
  14. Exit NetworkView without saving.
