Creating Map from DNS Only

If you want to populate a new map with the content of your DNS and/or the local host and lmhost files, set the following discovery options:

best data recovery repair windows vista data recovery downloads
restore deleted partition notebook data recovery restore passwords
usb data restore data recovery memory stick unerase digital picture
  • Uncheck the Ping Required checkbox in Discovery Options, General tab
  • Make sure that Use DNS is checked
  • Uncheck all the other discovery methods just below, from Use SNMP to Use WMI
  • Start a new discovery. Even if the Ping is unsuccessful, NetworkView will ask query the DNS (PTR), and add a node in the map if it gets a response.
