Machine Data

When run the program for the first time, you should add machine data to the list in the main window.

Scan network to collect network information.

  1. Scan IP. Scan the network through a range of IP address.
  2. Scan Workgroups. Scan the network through one or more workgroups & domains.
  3. Scan LAN. Scan the whole LAN.
  4. Add Machine. Specify an IP or name to scan.

Append your existing data into LanHelper without scanning.

  1. To manually add data one by one, click Edit from the menu bar, select Add Data.
  2. To import the data contained in a file and has a valid format, select File, then select Import from the menu bar. TXT and CSV files are supported.

Save the machine data to an XML file, then you can load it at anytime, or import into other programs that support XML, such as Microsoft Office XP. LanHelper provides HTML and XML modes to view all machine data with web browser in a more detailed and convenient way.
