LanHelper
LanHelper is designed for high-speed LAN management. LanHelper is an advanced LAN management, discovery and monitoring tool for office and home network. Detailed log available for helping LAN administrators to find and solve network programs. LanHelper offers many useful management functions but no any server program needed.
LanHelper scans network in very high speed and obtains the abundance of information. The information includes name (NetBIOS name or DNS name), IP address, MAC address, SNMP, workgroup name, user name, OS type, server type, comment, shared folders, shared printer, comment of the shared resource, etc. LanHelper detects the access to the shared folders, which helps you to find out whether the shared folders are writable, read-only or protected by password.
Without installing any server side program, you would find the network management is easy by using LanHelper. Groups is used for groups management. Open Files can view or disconnect open files. Refresh Status can monitor the machines on your network, check whether machines are online or not, and detect whether the computer names or the IP addresses have been modified or not. Remote Execute enables you to execute command, run program or open other files on remote computers. For example, make the remote computer open an URL or just play an MP3 song. If LanHelper Integrated Command is used in Remote Execute, you can even make the remote machine perform many operations such as lock computer, capture screen, get system information, manage process and more. Remote Shutdown can shut down or reboot the remote machines on local network, now supports local schedule. Send Message sends text messages to users, computers, workgroups, the whole LAN or ranges of IP address in a flexible way. Service can view service, start & stop service, install service, etc. Session can view or disconnect sessions. Uses is used for users management. Wake-On-LAN sends the Wake-On-LAN commands (Magic Packet) to power on the machines on LAN or WAN. Supports schedule and service.
With group feature and eXtensible Markup Language (XML), managing machine data is very easy in LanHelper. One machine can join in one or more groups, and every machine can have different security credentials settings. The machine data collected by scan engine is saved to XML file which can be loaded at anytime, be imported into other programs such as Microsoft Office EXCEL. You can import your existing data, or export data into HTML or CSV format. LanHelper also provides HTML and XML modes to view machine data in a more detailed and convenient way.
