Storage Media
This mode is intended for displaying and editing information about media of your collection. Using this mode, you can keep record of your CDs, audiocassettes, tapes, and etc. You can define storing location for each medium, which will make its search easy. You can keep information about lent medium. Such opportunity will help you remember a person who borrowed your disc or tape so much time ago.
How to add a medium?
To add a new medium to a collection:
- Switch Navigator to the Storage Media view mode.
- To switch to the Storage Media view mode, use
button on the toolbar.
- Click the Add new medium link in Tasks group on the navigation bar.
- In the appeared window, define medium name. Other properties are not necessary.
- Click the OK button.
You can also use the New Medium item from the context menu of Navigator or shortcut key Insert to access this function.
To add a medium using the context menu of Navigator or shortcut key Insert, a list of media must be opened. When using this way of adding a medium, the properties window doesn't appear.

This window is intended for defining properties of a new medium:
- Medium name
- Medium format
- Location
- Friend's name who has borrowed the medium
- Date when the medium was lent
Click the OK button to add a medium to a collection.
How to change the media grouping?
To change the media grouping, select the View | Media Grouping | <Grouping> item from main menu.
Selecting the None item will display a list of all media of your collection in Navigator without grouping.
Selecting the Custom... item will open the Media Grouping window in which you can define your own grouping.
You can also use the Grouping item from the dropdown menu of the object tree title to change the media grouping.

You can define your own media grouping in this window.
The list on the right contains a set of parameters available for grouping; the list on the left contains a set of selected parameters.
Use buttons Add and Remove to move parameters from one list to another. You can also drag parameters with the mouse.
Click the OK button to apply changes you have made.
