Saving Information About Album to Collection

To save information from the downloaded profile to a collection:

• Select an album to which a profile will be saved

Select artist name and album name in the Select Album window. Click the OK button to continue the process of saving.

• Define a set of album properties for saving

In the Update Album Information window, check properties you are going to save and click the OK button to save the downloaded information to a collection.

This window is intended to select an album to which the downloaded profile will be saved.

Before the window appears, the program tries to find an album in a collection that corresponds to the downloaded profile. An album from a collection completely corresponds to the downloaded profile if artist names as well as album names are identical.

If the artist with the appropriate name is not found in the collection, then the "Artist not found in the collection" warning will be displayed above the artist name entry field. Artist name from the downloaded profile will be placed into this entry field.

If the album with the appropriate name is not found in the collection, then the "Album not found in the collection" warning will be displayed above the album name entry field. Album name from the downloaded profile will be placed into this entry field.

Select the artist name and the album name from the dropdown lists or enter them directly into the corresponding entry fields.

After you have defined the artist name and the album name, click the OK button to continue the process of saving.

If you press OK and the warning message about artist and/or album absence is shown, then they will be added to the collection as new items during the process of saving.

Update Album Information window

This window displays a set of album properties taken from a collection and the corresponding set of profile properties downloaded from Internet.

Cover

In the upper part of the window, the album cover from the collection (to the left) and the album cover from the profile (to the right) are shown. A brief description is placed under each cover:

• Format
• Height and width
• Size in kilobytes
  

Use a check box to the left of the album cover to indicate if the album cover from the profile will be saved to a collection.

Album properties

Album properties are presented as a list, which consists of four columns:

• Mark of property saving
• Property name
• Property value in a collection
• Property value in the downloaded profile
  

Check properties for saving to a collection and click the OK button to finish the process of saving.

How to download artist photo from All Music Guide?

To download photo and any attendant information about the artist from All Music Guide:

• Start Internet Finder.
• Select a search mode at All Music Guide and click the Next button.
• Enter a searching phrase and select the Artist property in the list of search parameters.
• Click the Search button.
  

If the search was unsuccessful, try to correct the searching phrase and perform the query once more.

There are two possible modes of search result representation:

List of artists

If it was impossible to define the artist unambiguously according to the searching phrase, then search results appear as a list, every line of which contains brief information about the found artist.

• Artist name
• Genre peculiar to artist's creative work
• Period of artist's creative activity
  

Select the most appropriate artist and download its profile. To download an artist profile, perform one of the following operations:

• Click the Load this artist's profile link in Tasks group on the navigation bar.
• Select the Load this artist's profile item from the context menu of the result list.
  

Profile for selected artist will be downloaded.

Artist profile

If it was possible to define the artist unambiguously according to the searching phrase, then search results appear as a profile of the found artist, which displays the following information:

• Artist name
• Photo
• Date of birth
• Place of birth
• Discography
• Biography
  

To save the downloaded information to a collection, click the Save this artist's properties link in Tasks group on the navigation bar.
