Basket

Basket is a container in which you can place tracks from different albums, compilations, filters, and etc., and apply the following operations to them:

  • Play
  • Add to Favorites
  • Export playlist
  • Copy to local folder

You can add tracks from different collections into Basket. It is handy for arranging tracks stored in different collections into musical compilations.

When closing a collection, all tracks of this collection are deleted from Basket. Basket is cleared automatically when closing the program.

To show/hide Basket, use button Basket on the toolbar or make use of the View | Basket item from the main menu.

How to add tracks to Basket?

Adding from Navigator and Search Results

  • Select tracks for adding to Basket.
  • Click the Add to Basket link in the Tasks group on the navigation bar.

You can also use the Send To | Basket item from the context menu of the object or shortcut key Ctrl-B to access the function of adding tracks to Basket.

Adding from the object tree

  • Select an object with tracks for adding to Basket.
  • Select the Send To | Basket item from the context menu of the selected object.

You can also use shortcut key Ctrl-B to access the function of adding tracks to Basket.

Adding with drag-and-drop operations

Select one or several objects which contain tracks for adding to Basket and drag them to Basket. You can drag them to the compact Basket and to the expanded Basket as well.

How to view the contents of Basket?

Basket can be presented in two view modes:

  • Compact. In this mode Basket appears as: Basket
  • Expanded. In this mode Basket appears as a usual function window of the program.

To view the contents of the compact Basket, perform one of the following operations:

  • Double-click its image.
  • Select the Expand item from its context menu.

To compact Basket, click the Compact view link in Tools group on the navigation bar.

How to play tracks?

To play tracks:

  • Select tracks for playing.
  • Click the Play selection link in the Tasks group on the navigation bar.

Selected tracks will be run for a playback according to current settings.

Use Play button on the Toolbar to access the Play Tracks function quickly.

You can also use the Play item from the context menu of the tracks to play them.

How to add tracks to Favorites?

To add tracks to favorites:

  • Select tracks for adding to Favorites.
  • Click the Add to Favorites link in the Tasks group on the navigation bar.
  • Select compilation to which tracks will be added, and click the OK button.

Selected tracks will be added to Favorites. Use View Favourites in Navigator button on the Toolbar to view Favorites in Navigator.

You can also use the Send To | Favorites item from the context menu of the tracks or shortcut key Ctrl-D to add them to Favorites.

Note Use shortcut key Shift-Ctrl-D to add tracks to the latest selected compilation quickly.

Add to Favorites window

This window is intended for choosing compilation.

Use the Add Group button to create a new compilation group and Add Compilation button to create a new compilation.

Click the OK button to confirm the selection.

If Basket contain objects from different collections, perform the following steps to add tracks to Favorites:

  • Select a collection from the dropdown list.
  • Select a compilation from the selected collection and click the OK button.

Only the tracks from the selected collection will be added to the selected compilation.

How to export playlist?

To export playlist:

  • Select objects for which a playlist will be exported.
  • Click the Export playlist link in Tasks group on the navigation bar.

If you select tracks for exporting a playlist , a window will appear in which you have to name a file for a playlist and click the OK button.

If you select objects which contain tracks for exporting a playlist, then a window of export settings will appear in which you have to define necessary parameters and click the ÎÊ button.

You can also use the Send | Playlist item from the context menu of the object to access the Export playlist function.

How to copy tracks to a local folder?

To copy tracks to a local folder:

  • Select tracks for copying.
  • Click the Copy to Local Folder item in the Tasks group on the navigation bar.
  • In the Copy Tracks Wizard define necessary parameters, and click the Start button to start copying process.

Selected tracks will be copied to the local folder according to defined options.

You can also use the Send To | Local Folder item from the context menu of the tracks to copy them to a local folder.

How to change the view of data representation?

To change the view of data representation, choose the View item from main menu, and select the corresponding item from the dropdown menu.

Use Change Data Representation View button on the Toolbar to change the View of data representation quickly.

note Different views can be set for tracks, albums, and other objects. Viewing tracks in Navigator and in Basket also can be different. Views for different object types are set independently.

How to switch from Basket to a track in Navigator?

To switch from Basket to a track in Navigator:

  • Select a track for switching to.
  • Click the Locate in Navigator link in the Tasks group on the navigation bar.

A new window of Navigator with specified track highlighted will appear.

You can also use the Locate In Navigator item from the context menu of the track to access this function.

How to empty Basket?

To empty Basket, perform one of the following operations:

  • In the expanded mode, click the Empty Basket link in the Tools group on the navigation bar.
  • In the compact mode, select the Empty Basket item from its context menu.

Will a track be deleted from the collection when deleting it from Basket?

No, it won't be deleted from the collection since Basket has only a link to a track in a collection, not the track itself.

Will the properties of a track in a collection be affected when changing these properties in Basket?

Yes, they will be affected.

If you mark track as a good one or change its playback duration, these changes will affect the corresponding track in a collection immediately.

Is it possible to add the same track to Basket twice?

Yes, it is possible.

When adding tracks to Basket, a search of tracks with similar Track name + Album name + Artist name properties is carrying out.

If such similar tracks are found, a window with the following possible operations will appear:

  • Skip this track
  • Skip all similar tracks
  • Add this track
  • Add all similar tracks
