Naming Objects

Flying Popcorn allows you to give your objects names which can make editing your projects much more convenient. For simple projects, or unimportant objects that have no actions, naming is often not necessary. But for complex projects, giving names to your objects can help you remember their functions. By default, objects are given simple names like Figure1, Text2, Image3, etc. These names tell what the object type is, but otherwise they are not very descriptive. Sometimes when you are creating actions, you need to direct the action to a specific object. If you have 12 different figures in a single page, then remembering which figure has which name can be difficult. That is why it becomes convenient to give your objects names like " Red Button" or " Tree Picture" . For more information on actions, see Actions & Conditions.

  • Do one of the following
    • Right-click the object and click Name.
    • Double-click the object and click on the Attributes tab in the Object Properties dialog box.
