Gathering Editing Resources
Gathering the editing resources means moving all of the external files included in your project to one folder. This makes it easier to move the files from one computer to another so that you can edit your project on different computers. The resources gathered include fonts, background images, documents, clip art, sounds, video, and html files.
To gather editing resources
- In the File menu, click Gather Editing Resources.
- In the Gather Resources for Current Work File dialog box, select a folder to put the files in.
- Set the options and click OK.
Gather Editing Resources settings
- Folder to save: Click the Select button and choose the folder in which you want to save the resource files.
- Page Range: Select the page range for which you want to gather the editing resources. Move the sliders or enter numbers into the field to set the start and end pages. Files used in pages outside this range will not be included.
- Include used Fonts: Include the fonts used in the project in a 'Fonts' folder. This insures the proper fonts will be displayed in the project, but makes the file size larger.
- Include linked External Program Files: If you have used the Execute Program action in the project, you can save the linked program in the folder labeled 'Exec.'
- Make a new sub-folder for each resource type: Divide the gathered resources into subfolders by checking these checkboxes. Files of types that have not been checked are put into the main folder selected above.
