Adjusting Play Window Settings

The play window settings dialog box helps you set the resolution, size and location of the Play Window. Configure the properties so that the playback window is the size and resolution that you want and positioned where you want. Also, you can specify whether to have a black background color or the first item of the background template in the window.

To open the Play Window settings dialog box

  1. In the Publish menu, click Prepare & Play.
  2. In the Prepare & Play dialog box, click Resolution & Size.

  1. Display (Video) Resolution: You can set the Play resolution to one of the four pre-defined settings: current resolution, 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768. Although you get better display quality with higher resolution settings, the file size becomes larger. When the playback is completed, the program will go back to its original resolution settings.
  2. Play Window Position: The default setting is the center of the screen. You can set the position of the play window yourself by clicking Define Position and entering the position in pixel units.
  3. Play Window Size: The default size setting is same as the work window size. You can customize the size by checking Define Size and entering the height and width directly. Alternatively, you can check the box for the height you want. For example, if you have set the resolution at 1024x768 and the play window at 640x480, a play window with a size of 640x480 will play in the center of a 1024x768 screen.
  4. Play in seperate window with title bar: Check this option to play the project in a seperate window with a title bar. The title of the window can be entered in the Title field and its icon can be set by clicking the Icon button.
  5. Fill screen background: Check this option to fill the background (the area that is not covered by the Play Window) with either black or white. Or you can use the first image or color in the background template. If this option is unchecked, the background will not be covered by anything.
  6. Start-up Background Mode: Choose the background color that appears as the play window starts up (before the first IN effect). You can choose between black, white, and transparent.
  7. Enable Screen Saver operation during play: Check this box to allow your normal windows screen saver to operate during play.
  8. Protect from Multiple Running: Prevents the project from multiple simultaneous runnings on the same PC. It also prevents the project from being run twice on a different instances of web browsers.
