Data Source Options
As a product of industrial strength, it supports various data source options.
When adding a field, in the field setup dialog, you can select a data source option from the "Data Source" combo box.

Fixed Data |
Static data. Entered at design time. |
Database |
Data comes from a database. |
Prompt Before Print |
User will be prompted to enter data at print time. |
Choose From List |
User will be prompted to choose data from a list at print time. |
Counter File |
Data will be coming from a file containing a serial number. |
Date/Time |
Data will come from current date and/or time. |
Link/Expression |
Data will be an expression combining data from various sources, e.g., drawn from other fields, math formula, etc. |
