Service Component

EventMeister now contains a service component which enables data collection and notification to occur when the application is not running and/or when no one is logged into the host computer.

The option to install the service component is presented in the install wizard. To find out more:

Installing or uninstalling the service component

If you choose not to install the service component EventMeister will only work when someone is logged onto the host computer, and EventMeister is running.

If you choose to install the service component the application is used as a front-end to configure feeds and notifications, and to view collected feed data. The application can be quit at any time without interrupting monitoring and notification.
