Manage Groups
The Manage Groups dialog lets you create, rename, delete and rearrange feed groups. To view the dialog, either select Manage Groups from the Feeds menu, or right-click within the main feed list and select Manage Groups from the resulting context menu.
The actions available in this dialog are as follows.
- Add Group. Click this button and supply a name to cerate a new group. The group name should be different from all current feed groups (if you're currently viewing feeds) or aggregate groups (if you're currently viewing aggregates). Note that a new group can always be created on-the-fly while defining a new feed - just type a new name into the drop-down list on the appropriate page of the feed wizard.
- Rename Group. Click to provide a different name for the select group. As with new groups, the name you provide must not clash with any existing groups.
- Delete Group. This button deletes the selected group, AND all feeds that are currently assigned to that group. Note that any actions you take in this dialog are not made permanent until you hit the OK button, so if you unintentionally delete group, just hit Cancel immediately to prevent the delete from going ahead.
Move Up/Down. Use these buttons to change the order in which groups are displayed. Just select the group you wish to reposition, and hit the Move Up/Down buttons accordingly.
- Transfer. This command enables you to move the selected feeds from one group to another. Select the feed(s) you wish to reassign, click the Transfer button and choose the destination group from the resulting menu. Note that you can also move feeds one at a time within the main view- just click on a feed and drag it over the header of the group to which it should be transferred.
The changes you make in the dialog are not applied permanently until you click the OK button. To abandon your changes, just click Cancel. |
