Email Scheduling Wizard
The Email Scheduling Wizard is used to define when notification logs should be emailed to the nominated recipient. It is modelled on the Scheduled Task Wizard in Windows, so its contents will hopefully be familiar to many!
The first page determines the basic frequency of the email. It can sent on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The next page of the wizard differs according to the base frequency you've chosen. In all cases, you can also set the earliest time at which the email will be sent. Due computer load log update frequency there is no guarantee that the email will be sent at the exact time you specify, but it will be sent as soon after that time as possible.
Here are the extra settings specific to each base frequency.
Daily. You can choose to have the email sent every weekday (Monday through Friday) or every X many days. For example, if you setthe schedule to every 1 day, the email will be sent every day of the year. If you choose every 2 days, the email will be sent every other day, and so on.
Weekly. You can set the email to fire every week, or every X many weeks. You can also indicate on which days of the week the email should be sent. So you could use the weekly frequency to have the email sent at close of operations every Friday, for example.
Monthly. With a monthly frequency, the email can be sent either on the Xth day of the month, or the 1st/2nd/3rd/4th/last Mon/../Sun of the month. You can also choose which months to include in the schedule. Note that if you choose the Xth day of the month option, you chould take care in choosing the day count. For example, if you select day 30, you will effectively exclude February from the schedule.
