Displaying & Printing Reports

Feeds can be exported as HTML and displayed in your browser window or printed. You can choose from pre-defined report formats or define your own.

Displaying a Feed in your Browser as an HTML Report

1. Make sure the feed that you want to preview is active.
2. To display the Export to Browser dialog:

   Select 'File > Export to Browser...' from the main menu

   OR
   

   Click on the 'Export to Browser' toolbar button.

   OR

   Use the keyboard shortcut ALT + F + B

3. All available report templates will be displayed in the left hand pane. The currently selected report template will be previewed in the right hand pane.

   Click on the template you want to use and click on 'OK'.

4. The feed will be displayed in your browser window as an HTML report.
   

Saving Reports

1. Use the save facilities provided by your browser to save your html report.
   

Printing Reports

1. Use the print facilities provided by your browser to print your report.
   

Creating and Modifying EventMeister Report Templates

Report templates are stored in the Technology Lighthouse/EventMeister/Reports directory of your Application Data directory.

Report templates are .xsl files that parse the feed data and apply HTML formatting. Provided you have some basic knowledge of XSL you can modify existing templates or create new ones.

Locating your Application Directory

If you're not sure where your Application Data directory is located:

1. Bring up the 'Run' dialog off the Windows Start Menu
2. Type in %APPDATA% and hit return
3. This will open up the Application Data directory
4. The LogMesiter report templates are stored in Technology Lighthouse/EventMeister/Reports
