Automatic Confirmation
Automatically Dismissing a Confirmation Dialog
When a confirmation message is displayed, you can choose to remember your response and never display the message again.
Check the 'Do not show this again' box at the bottom of the dialog before responding. In future, the same response will be used automatically without displaying the confirmation dialog.
Switching off Automatic Confirmation on a Dialog
You can easily switch off automatic confirmation on a single dialog, or on all dialogs.
- Select 'Configure > Automatic Confirmation...' to display the Automatic Confirmation Management Dialog. The dialog lists confirmation messages that have stored responses.
- Select the entry that you want to disable automatic confirmation.
- Click on the 'Delete' button.
Configuring Outgoing Email Server
If you wish to receive notifications by email you will need to provide information about your outgoing (SMTP) email server. This is similar to configuring the SMTP side of any email client.
- To configure your SMTP email server select 'Configure > Outgoing Email Server' to display the 'Configure SMTP Dialog'.
- Enter your SMTP server address and port number in the boxes provided.
- If your server requires authentication, tick the box and fill in the necessary details.
- In the Sender portion of the dialog enter the Name and Email that you want to be associated notification emails.
NOTE: In an attempt to reduce spam and virus attacks, many SMTP servers will block emails that have an obviously invalid sender email address. It is recommended that you test the server configuration by sending a test email from EventMeister - press the button marked "Test Message" to do so.
