Selecting Views

e-Surveiller log viewer provides three ways to view logs. The verbose view displays logs exactly as they were logged, the analysed view displays logs in a more readable manner and the summary view categorizes log content into different sections for easy reference.

The verbose view displays mouse button clicks independent of the mouse left or right-handedness configuration. It displays exactly what keys were keyed in (possibly with extended key information). It displays time in GMT.

The analysed view displays keystrokes while taking into account editing keys such as backspace and the arrow keys. It doesn't display the Enter or shift keys. It displays time either in the station computer's time zone or monitored computer's time zone.

The summary view categorizes and lists log content such as windows viewed, chat conversations etc. in different tabs. Clicking on a listing reveals its contents. The summary view displays logs with the analysed view's convention.

To select a view, click on the view menu and select analysed view, verbose view or summary view.

To quickly switch to a view; click on the verbose, analysed or summary tab Summary Tabbelow the viewing area.
