Working With Contacts
Mobile Navigator™ allows to make any operations
with your phone contact data, to conduct contacts archive as well as to synchronize entries with MS Outlook Contacts.
The Outlook folder for synchronizaton
should be defined in Outlook/Settings>Outlook synch settings.
To highlight a group of entries highlight keeping CTRL pressed (for selective) or SHIFT (for continuous).
To get rid of the operative information
accumulated on the screen while working
use the following function to clear the screen:
Press mouse right button on the area of the information presentation.
Choose "clear grids" in the menu appeared
After that you may choose the needed memory storage and read info from it- it will be displayed on clear area!
Editing phonebook entries
- Open the form Basic/Phone book.
- Set the one of the items in the "Memory" groupbox:
SIM - to edit the entry (phone number, initials, group) stored on SIM card
SIM fix - to edit the entry (phone number, initials, group) stored on SIM card fixed memory
Internal - to edit the entry (phone number, initials, group) stored on the phone internal memory (excluding SIM card)Archive - to edit the entry iof MN achive (phone number, initials, group + all of other contact info)
*Contacts - to edit the entry (phone number, initials, group + all of other contact info) in the phone addressbook.
- Make changes in the "Data editor" area and press "Modify".
When you work with SIM/SIM Fix/Internal/Contacts Mobile Navigator automatically appends the modifications to the the specified phone memory storage and adds the entry as "new" to the MN Archive.
When working with the Archive the modifications are set only in it.
Creating new contact
- Set the one of the items in the "Memory" groupbox:
SIM - to create the entry (phone number, initials, group) stored on SIM card
SIM fix - to create the entry (phone number, initials, group) stored on SIM card fixed memory
Internal - to create the entry (phone number, initials, group) stored on the phone internal memory (excluding SIM card)
Archieve - to create the entry iof MN achieve (phone number, initials, group + all of other contact info)
*Contacts - to create the entry (phone number, initials, group + all of other contact info) in the phone addressbook.
- Enter data in the "Data editor" area and press "Append".
When you work with SIM/SIM Fix/Internal/Contacts Mobile Navigator automatically appends the entry to the the specified phone memory storage and adds the entry as "new" to the MN Archieve.
When working with the Archieve the entry is to be added only to it.
Adding contact to the phone
To add your contact from MS Outlook Contacts to the phone do following:
- Open the form Outlook/Contacts.
- Set the one of the items in the "Memory" groupbox:
SIM - to add the entry (phone number, initials, group) to SIM card
SIM fix - to add the entry (phone number, initials, group) to SIM card fixed memory
Internal - to add the entry (phone number, initials, group) to the phone internal memory (excluding SIM card)
Archive - to add the entry to MN achive (phone number, initials, group + all of other contact info)
Contacts - to add the entry (phone number, initials, group + all of other contact info) to the phone addressbook.
- Set the sign "Phone" in the grid "P" of your selected entry by pressing left mouse button.
- Press "Refesh"
Adding contact to MS Outlook Contacts
- Open the from Basic/Phone book.
- Set the sign Outlook to the grid "Î" of chosen contact.
The entry will be added to the Outlook folder
that you've defined for contacts synchronization
in the area Outlook/Settings>Outlook synch settings.
Deleting contact from the phone
- Set the one of the items in the "Memory" groupbox:
SIM - to delete the entry (phone number, initials, group) stored on SIM card
SIM fix - to delete the entry (phone number, initials, group) stored on SIM card fixed memory
Internal - to delete the entry (phone number, initials, group) stored on the phone internal memory (excluding SIM card)
Contacts - to delete the entry (phone number, initials, group + all of other contact info) from the phone addressbook.
- Highlight the needed enty.
- Press "Delete"
or
Press mouse right button on the needed entry and choose "delete entry from the phone book" in the meny appeared.
or
Set off the sign "Phone" from the grid "Ð" of selected entry.
- Press "Refresh".
When you work with SIM/SIM Fix/Internal/Contacts Mobile Navigator automatically deletes the entry from the specified phone memory storage but leaves it in the MN Archive.
When working with the Archive the entry is to be deleted only from it.
Deleting contact from MS Outlook Contacts
- Open the from Basic/Phone book.
- Set off the sign Outlook from the grid "Î" of chosen contact.
The entry will be deleted from the Outlook folder
that you've defined for contacts synchronization
in the area Outlook/Settings>Outlook synch settings.
Calling selected person
- Open the form Basic/Phone book.
- Highlight the needed entry and press mouse right button.
- Choose "call selected person" in the menu appeared.
Send SMS to selected contact
- Open the from Basic/Phone book.
- Highlight the neededentry and press mouse right button
- Choose "Send SMS message" in the menu appeared.
Contact groups definition
- Open the from Basic/Phone book.
- Press "Category" button in the "Data editor" area
- Specify the new name for the standard group in the field "defined group name" in the window appeared.
- Press "Change".
- Press "OK" to confirm and close the window.
Press "Cancel" to cancel and close the window.
The name you specify will replace the standard only in Mobile Navigator ™!
Reading contacts from the phone
- Set the one of the items in the "Memory" groupbox:
SIM - to read entries (phone number, initials, group) stored on SIM card
SIM fix - to read entries (phone number, initials, group) stored on SIM card fixed memory
Internal - to read entries (phone number, initials, group) stored on the phone internal memory (excluding SIM card)
Contacts - to read entries (phone number, initials, group + all of other contact info) from the phone addressbook.
- Press "Refresh".
