Getting Started
If you the software is installed to your PC correctly, please launch it from the desktop shortcut or "Start > Program > Batch Image Converter", and now you can start your first time using by the following 5 simple steps:
Step 1: Add source image files.
Simply press File > Add Files, or click the tool button to activate the "open files" common dialog box, select the desired graphic files from the file list. You can select multiple files using normal windows file selection conventions (for example, hold down the Shift key while clicking to select multiple files). Then press the Open button to add the graphic files you hope to convert.
You can also add all files from a directory by pressing File > Add Files From Directory, or click tool button to locate a source files directory. And all the image files under the directory will be added for converting. The files you have selected will be listed on the program's main window.
Step 2: Edit the files list for converting.
When start converting, all the files included in the list will be converted. Before converting, you should edit the files list to make sure the files included in the list are right. If a file included in the list is not wanted, you may remove it.
Step 3: Select output format.
Select output format from the drop-down list box beside the label "Output Format": .
Step 4: Set output directory.
Select output directory by click the button at the right of the text box: . Click button to activate the folder dialog for choosing the output directory.
Step 5: Start converting.
After finish the preferences , click the pull-down menu item Actions > Convert to start converting, or click the button on the toolbar to start converting. And you can press the pull-down menu Actions > Stop or the stop button on the toolbar to stop converting.
- When converting, the status bar show the following converting information ,
- The current converting file's name with full path
- Time elapsed based on seconds
- The current finished percentage with a progress bar and text information
Note:
- You may double click a list to see the original image's properties
- Before converting, you may enter the options dialog to configure preferences such as input formats filters, output format, output folder.
- For converting to JPG, GIF, ICO formats, before converting, you may enter the options dialog to configure preferences such as transparent color, destination image's quality, ...
- If a to-be-converted file is already located in the output folder, how to process the work? Do you want to skip the converting or overwrite the destination file? You may configure it in the options dialog. The default action is skip.
- There is a status column in the file list with the following text:

There is something wrong when converting! |
| Unrecognized! |
The source image file is not supported! |
| Existing, Overwritten! |
The to-be-generated destination file is existed in the output folder, and is overwritten! |
| Existing, Skip! |
The to-be-generated destination file is existed in the output folder, and the converting work is skipped!
