Manage Objects

This section provides instructions on how to manage a Network objects in the NetworkShield Firewall 2006.

  • Edit private networks
  • Edit public networks

To edit a private network

  • In the console tree of NetworkShield Firewall:
    • Expand NetworkShield Firewall 2006.
    • Expand Configuration.
    • Click Networks.
  • Select the Networks tab.
  • In the configuration section, click the applicable Private network.
  • Click Edit Selected Network Edit Selected Network on the Toolbar.
  • To edit the General settings select the General tab.
  • To edit the Network Interface mapped to the private network, select the Network Interface tab.
    • Select the inteface that mapped to the selected network.
  • To configure network addresses select the Network Addresses tab.
    • Click Add..., then type the network address range or click Add Private and select a range from the list.

Note

To update configuration click the Apply button in the Information Bar above the configuration section.

To edit a public network

  • In the console tree of NetworkShield Firewall:
    • Expand NetworkShield Firewall 2006.
    • Expand Configuration.
    • Click Networks.
  • Select the Networks tab.
  • In the configuration section, click the applicable Public network.
  • Click Edit Selected Network Edit Selected Network on the Toolbar.
  • To edit the General settings select the General tab.
  • To edit the Network Interface mapped to the public network, select the Network Interface tab.
    • Select the inteface that mapped to the selected network.

Note

To update configuration click the Apply button in the Information Bar above the configuration section.
