Administration: How To

This section provides instructions on how to perform administration tasks in the NetworkShield Firewall 2006.

• Backup Configuration
• Restore Configuration
• View Registration Information
• Activate NetworkShield Firewall
• Update subscription

To create a configuration backup

In the console tree of NetworkShield Firewall:

1. Expand NetworkShield Firewall 2006
   Expand Configuration
   Click General
2. In the configuration section, click Create a backup of configuration
3. In the Backup Wizard, follow the on-screen instructions.

To restore configuration

In the console tree of NetworkShield Firewall:

1. Expand NetworkShield Firewall 2006
   Expand Configuration
   Click General
2. In the configuration section, click Restore configuration
3. In the Restore Wizard, follow the on-screen instructions.

Note

It is recommended to create backup of configuration before restoring.

To view the registration information

1. Click About in the top right area of the Management Console
2. Select the License Information tab
   

To activate NetworkShield Firewall 2006

1. Click About in the top right area of the Management Console
2. Select the License Information tab
3. Click Activate now...
4. In the NetworkShield Activation Wizard, follow the on-screen instructions.

To update subscription

1. Purchase subscription from NetworkShield Firewall website
2. Click About in the top right area of the Management Console
3. Select the License Information tab
4. Click Activate now...
5. In the NetworkShield Activation Wizard, follow the on-screen instructions.
