What is AeroTags TagsLock Pro?

Would you like it if someone uses your web site content for getting his own profits? You probably wouldn't.

TagsLock Pro is a program designed to protect your web site from spammers, cheaters, web site rippers and source code explorers. It is probably the best program in its class since it was made with other similar tools functionality in mind.

How does it work?

TagsLock Pro is a project-oriented utility. It allows you to create a new project (using New Project Wizard), protect your web site content and then re-protect it (when the site is updated) with just one click!

What does mean 'encryption method'?

Now TagsLock Pro offers three methods of the protection. Those are anti-SPAM protection (prevents spammers from extracting e-mail addresses from your web pages), anti-Downloaders (protects from programs like Teleport Pro, WebZip etc.), and full source code protection (protects your entire web site making source code unreadable). You can choose any of these methods using the New Project Wizard.

How can I protect entire Web site?

If you want to protect all HTML-files that make up your web site, press the 'Add a folder...' button on the 'Files' tab and select the folder on your local storage device that contains your web site files. You can remove files that need not to be protected from the project (use 'Remove' button - it will not delete a file from disk, rather it will only remove it from this project). When you create a new project you can add all HTML-files automatically.

I recieve too many SPAM from my site. Can it be fixed?

Yes. Check the 'protect E-Mail links' box on 'Encryption type' tab. Your site will be protected from spammers. E-mail grabbers will fail to extract e-mail addresses from the protected web site. Keep in mind that those older spam-lists will still be alive and you probably will be receiving unsolicited mail for some time, but newer spam-lists will not contain your addresses so the more time passes the less you are spammed. Alternatively select "Options|Set pre-defined options|Light - anti-SPAM"

Can I protect my web site from Teleport Pro or WebZip

Yes. Check the 'protect all links' box on 'Encryption type' tab. Once encrypted, your web site will not allow ripping of content. So these software titles will fail to do their job. Remember: it is most important to protect your first page!

Alternatively select "Options|Set pre-defined options|Medium - protect all links"

How can I make my web pages unreadable for surfers?

Check the 'protect Entire web site' box on 'Encryption type' tab. The resulting encrypted pages will be unreadable to human beings. Alternatively select "Options|Set pre-defined options|High - fully encrypt page source".

How can I enhance my web site?

Set the appropriate options on 'Meta tag options', 'Misc options I', 'Misc options II' and 'Tags to skip' tabs. Or choose "Options|Set pre-defined options|Improve SE ranking".

My site is a gallery. How can I protect my images?

When your visitor wants to save a picture from your site he right-clicks the picture and selects 'Save image...' item from the pop-up menu. Using TagsLock allows you to disable right mouse button clicks. The visitor will see a message saying that the right mouse button was disabled (this is editable) instead of a common pop-up menu. Check 'Disable mouse right-click' on 'Misc option I' tab to enable this feature. Alternatively select "Options|Set pre-defined options|Set images protection"

Internet Explorer 6 note: Internet Explorer version 6 has a new feature - Image Toolbar. It makes possible for user to save the image without right-clicking. TagsLock Pro can also disable this toolbar. Check 'Disable Internet Explorer 6 Image Toolbar' on 'Misc option II' tab.

I want to protect my site from off-line viewing. How do I do that?

Check 'Disable off-line page viewing' on 'Misc option I' tab to disable off-line viewing. You can also define an URL to redirect the visitor to when he tries to open the page for off-line viewing.

I found that some sites show my web pages in their own frames and place their banners above my web pages. What can I do about it?

Check 'Kill frames' on 'Misc option II' tab. Next time your page will be shown in a frame the browser will kill this frame and open your web page in normal mode. Visitors will see YOUR URL and not the other.

I'm a German/Spanish/Russian/etc. webmaster. I used other HTML-protector software and after encryption some characters were not shown in IE. Can your program do something with it?

This is a known problem. And luckily we have got the solution.
Check 'Skip ASCII-codes 128-256 during encryption' on 'Misc option II' tab to fix this problem. In all other cases this checkbox has no effect.

I want to protect my web site fully, but headers must not be encrypted so I could get a better SE-rating. Is it possible?

Yes. Go to 'Tags to skip' tab. Define pairs of tags containing the content to be skipped during encryption process. We recommend defining <h1>, <h2>, <big>, <strong>. If you plan to use SSI also define comments <-- ... -->.

I like this software. How can I register it and what is the price?

Ok, your program description sounds good but how can I test it?

You can test it in the following manner:

• Try to extract e-mails from your Web Site
• (Use any e-mail extractor, e.g. E-Mail Hunter)
• Try to download your site
• (Use Teleport Pro for this purpose)
• Now protect your Web Site with TagsLock Pro.
• Try to extract e-mails and download your site again
  

Can you see the difference?
I wanted to protect an HTML file, but did not get a result. What is wrong?

The source of a problem can be as follows: when you choose 'protect e-mail links' or 'protect all links' methods, TagsLock Pro skips the blocks of HTML-code, defined in 'Tags to skip' page. Now, most of the problems are buried here. Remove pairs of tags that can cause problems. Webmasters often make bold links while one of the default tags-to-skip in TagsLock Pro is <STRONG>! You should either keep it in mind or delete those tags from 'tags to skip list'

I get an unknown error. What is wrong?

Remember to use HTML Validators before applying protection. For example content in "<strong></strong>" tags pair cannot be encrypted. See our Links page at http://www.aerotags.com/links/ to find HTML Validators and other useful software.

I used 'protect e-mail links' but Email Hunter still found some e-mails. What is wrong?

Your page probably has a text like this in its body:

and for more questions please mail
me to me@mydomain.com,
I'll try to answer as
soon as possible
</body>

In this case the e-mail address me@mydomain.com will be extracted since IT IS NOT E-MAIL LINK, IT IS A TEXT! Use 'protect entire web site' method to fix this.
