Encryption Type
You should select encryption method on this tab. There are 3 methods of encryption available at the moment:
- Protect e-mail links prevents spammers from getting e-mail addresses from your web site
- Protect all links blocks Teleport Pro and similar programs
- Protect entire web site encrypts all the HTML code
Choose one these types and process the project.
Available options for this tab:
| • Protect e-mail links |
Encrypts all e-mail links (mailto:) on the page. E-mail grabbers will fail to extract e-mail addresses. |
| • Protect all links |
All hyperlinks will be protected. Only the browser will be able to display links (Teleport Pro and WebZip will fail). |
| • Protect entire web site |
This is the strongest type of protection. Just look into HTML file contents after applying... Fully hides the source of your HTML file. |
| Encrypt <HEAD> ... </HEAD> |
Check this box to encrypt the header of HTML document. It is not recommended since some 'exotic' browsers can crash after loading such page. |
| Password protect index file |
Check this box and choose a password if you wish to password protect index.html and/or other HTML files |
Hint: The most recommended options for on line web pages are "protect e-mail links" and "protect all links". "Entire web site" is generally used to encrypt the copyrighted content and web sites that are to be published CD/DVD.
To make private sites use password protection.
