Using Optimal Bookmark
Optimal Bookmark let's you bookmark Web Pages, RSS feeds, Files and Folders in a hierarchical tree. The Optimal Bookmark Link properties are very similar to the Section Tab link properties.
Optimal Bookmark is accessible as a folder under the My Computer folder in your directory tree. See picture below.

You can also toggle between Optimal Bookmark and your Desktop folders using the Folder Bar menu. To get to the Optimal Bookmark folders.

You can drag links from the web, your desktop and the toolbar directly to Optimal Bookmark folders. Optimal Bookmark will know the type of link and will assign an icon to that folder. This function is very similar to how Section Tabs (see Using Sections (Creating Bookmarks)) work.
To access Optimal Bookmark commands, open your folder bar and right click on any folder in Optimal Bookmark. You can create new folders, import and export your Optimal Bookmark folders.
You can also import and export Optimal Bookmark folders and OPML files and share them with other Optimal Desktop users.
The Import function in Optimal Bookmark imports folders into Optimal Bookmark folder bar.
Feed Queries and Import RSS feed wizard import folders to Optimal Bookmark folder bar. From here you can drag your folders to create Section tabs.
Optimal Bookmark files
Optimal Bookmark supports a number of file formats.
- The Optimal Bookmark tree files have an *.olx extension.
- The older versions of Optimal Bookmark tree files have a *.olt extension
- The Neoplanet files have a *.ndf extension.
- The feed files have a *.opml extension. *.opml is an industry format. You can share *.opml files with other RSS readers.
Note: The *.ndf and *.olt files can only be imported and all other files can be both imported and exported.
Optimal Bookmark is stored with your desktop file. When you share desktop files you will also be sharing your Optimal Bookmark file.
