Using Link Recorder

The Link Recorder lets you store your log in sequence to password protected web sites. To store your log in sequence type in the address of the page in the address bar and once the page loads in your browser window go to the Tools menu and choose "Start Recording".

Now type in your user name and password, log into the site, wait till the page loads completely, navigate to your desired destination, wait till the page is completely loaded, then go back to the Tools menu and choose the command "Stop Recording".

The Stop Recording command invokes a wizard that walks you through a process of storing your actions into either a Section Tab or an Optimal Bookmark folder.

You have the option to assign a password to your recorded link. It is recommended that you select a Master password for all of your recorded links (or all the secured links). In this way you will be prompted once to enter your password and the program will remember this password until you exit Optimal Desktop™ .

It is also recommended that you store your links as Optimal Bookmark folders, because you can drag the same folder into many Drawers and re-use them.
