Creating New Project
There are several ways to add a new Project:
- Wizard. Click the Wizard button on the toolbar or choose File | New | Wizard in the main menu. Then follow the step-by-step instructions to fine tune your download.
- Main Menu. Choose File | New from the main menu (1) and double-click on the Project icon, or click the "New Project" button on the toolbar (2). Complete the necessary information in the Properties dialog box and click OK.
- Copy and Paste and the Clipboard. Paste a URL (Web address) or copy a Project from the Clipboard. Add a Web address by choosing Edit | Paste from the main menu or the "Paste from clipboard" button on toolbar. All Properties except the pasted URL will be set by default.
Offline Explorer Enterprise will paste new Projects automatically if "Advanced | Integration | Monitor clipboard" is checked in the Options dialog.
- Address Bar. Use the Address Bar (3). Enter a URL in the address field, change the Level setting if necessary, and then press the "Download" button. All other Properties information will be set by default, except the URL and Level, and the new Project will be created and downloaded.
- Import Favorites. A Project can be imported from Netscape Navigator, Netscape Communicator Bookmarks, Microsoft Internet Explorer Favorites or Opera HotLists. Select File | Import Favorites from the main menu, browse through the menus and click on a URL. A new Project will be created using all the default Properties information, except for the URL and Caption.
- Drag-and-Drop. Drag a URL from your WWW browser to the Projects tree in Offline Explorer Enterprise and a new Project will be created with the dropped URL. All other Properties information will be set by default.
Every new Project will appear in the selected Folder or in the topmost Default Folder if no folder has been selected. (The Default Folder may be renamed if you like.) Unless otherwise specified, each new Project will use the Default Template, which can be changed at any time by selecting File | Templates from the main menu. The Project Properties can be accessed by clicking the Properties button on the toolbar or by using the Properties entry on the Project context menu. The context menu can be accessed by right-clicking on any entry in the Project tab. |
