Adding/Editing/Deleting KidSafe Site

Adding/Editing/Deleting KidSafe Site

  • Click the New Site icon on the Parental Mode Toolbar to create a new favorite web site item
    or Click the Edit Site icon on the Parental Mode Toolbar to change an existing favorite web site item.
  • You can click the 'Select a site from the list of open pages' button if you already have the web site in the browser
  • Enter a description of the web site in the Title box
  • Enter the web site start page address in the address box
  • Select the item to be used to match all web pages with the site you are setting up
  • Click the OK button to save the information.

Make this my home page

Click this button to make the current site your home page. Your home page will be displayed each time you start the program or when you click the 'home page' icon on the toolbar.

Exclude web site list

Click this button to enter a list of web sites or keywords that must be blocked. If you allow access to a specific web site but want to prevent access to specific parts of that site then you can list the complete URLs or partial URLs that you want to be excluded. Any web site that is included in this list will not be displayed in the KidSafe Site list.

Include web site list

Click this button to enter a list of web sites or keywords that must not be blocked. You can use this feature to allow access to sites that are linked to a main site that's in your KidSafe list. Any web site that is included in this list will not be displayed in the KidSafe Site list.

Deleting a KidSafe site

  • Highlight the site by select it from the KS site list.
  • Click the Delete Site icon on the Parental Mode Toolbar to delete the web site
  • Select Yes in response to the message box to remove the site from the list
