Run Scheduler as Service

If you want to run the Scheduler on a server that runs under Windows NT, XP, 2000, toggle the menu item File/Start as Service to start or stop the program as a Service. As a service the program will run in the background on the login screen, even if there is no user logged in on the server. If you want to have the program interact with the Desktop, toggle the menu item File/Stay option in the Tray menu. Then, when a user logs on, the program icon will be displayed in the Tray. Running the Scheduler as a service is only intended for experienced users and server administrators who understand services.

You will also find fsntservice.ini in the FileStream Scheduler installation folder. (Default: Program Files\Common Files\FileStream Scheduler folder). The default settings is:

[Settings]
CheckProcess = 5

It will ask service to check the scheduler status every 5 minutes and start the scheduler if it is not active. Should you prefer a different frequency, you may edit the INI file.
