Inventory Keeper

Welcome to the Inventory Keeper. The following screens contain a basic tutorial to help you get started.

Setting Up Keeper

After you've installed the software and created a starting database you need to configure Keeper for your company:

hard disk file recovery restore windows data free data recovery program
data recovery utilities downloads ipod reset cell phone investigation
deleted partition restore free password recovery software notebook recovery

1. Start by clicking the File menu, then the Setup menu, then Select Printer:

Setup

a) In the Printer Setup screen, click the down-arrow at the right of the Using Printer box and then click the name of the printer you want to use with Keeper. Do the same thing with the Using Font box. We recommend you use the Arial font if it's available.

b) Your printer may have a non-printing zone larger than the default value Keeper uses. To test this, put a blank sheet of paper in your printer and click [Print Test Page]. Keeper will print a gauge at the bottom of the page:

Default Value

You should set Page Limit to the value of the first mark you can see at the bottom of the page. Keeper's default value is 100.

When you're satisfied, click [OK].

c.) If you're going to use a roll-paper dot matrix printer such as the Star SP200, connect the printer to a port: COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, LPT1 or LPT2. Go to your computer's Printers folder and create a generic text only printer on that port. Then return to the Printer Setup screen and click Use receipt printer for invoices. Click the option button for the port to which you connected the receipt printer. If you want to emphasize the type in the header that contains your company name, etc., check the Emphasize Header check box. If you have a cash drawer attached to the printer and wish the drawer to open only for cash sales, click the Open cash drawer only for cash sales check box. Finally, turn on the printer and click the [Test Connection] button to see the result.
