View Menu

Word Wrap

Word Wrap is a feature that causes the Editor to force all text to fit within the Editor Window. When you fill one line with text, the Editor automatically jumps to the next line so that you are not required to keep track of line lengths and to press the Return key after each line.

InfoRecall allows you to turn off the word-wrap feature. This is useful for writing programs and other types of formatted text where you want complete control over new lines.

To turn Word Wrap OFF on a new document:

  • Create a new document
  • Choose Word Wrap, Word Wrap OFF from the View menu

To turn Word Wrap OFF on an existing document:

  • Choose Select All from the View Menu
  • Choose Word Wrap, Word Wrap OFF from the View menu

To turn Word Wrap OFF on an existing document paragraph:

  • Click on the paragraph or Highlight the paragraph
  • Choose Word Wrap, Word Wrap OFF from the View menu

To turn Word Wrap ON:

  • Follow the above instructions except
  • Choose Word Wrap, Word Wrap ON from the View menu

Note: The Default for a new document is always Word Wrap ON.

The following are the toolbars used by InfoRecall:

  • Tool Bar
  • Document Bar
  • Boilerplate Text Bar
  • Status Bar

Show/Hide Toolbars

This feature either hides all Toolbars including the Statusbar or if they are not visible, it will make them visible.

To hide Toolbars:

  • Choose Hide Toolbars from the View menu.

To see Toolbars:

  • Choose Show Toolbars from the View menu.

Reset Toolbars & Workspace

Resets your Toolbars and Workspace windows to their original state that they were in after installation. This might be necessary if for any reason a Toolbar or one of the Workspace windows does not display properly.

InfoRecall Setup uses a registration Folder to register Toolbars, Toolbar Buttons and the Workspace sized to the Screen Resolution of your computer. Reset Toolbars & Workspace uses that registration Folder to safely reset Toolbars & Workspace to their original state.

To Reset:

  • Choose Reset Toolbars & Workspace from the View menu
  • Click the Yes button on the Message Box

InfoRecall will be restarted automatically to reset the Toolbars and Workspace to what they were on the initial installation.

Note: Any changes made to the Toolbars or the arrangement of the Workspace since installation will be lost.

Ruler

Turns the Ruler on and off. The ruler allows you to set left and right indents and tab stops.

To set the left indent:

  • Place the cursor on the paragraphs you want to indent.
  • Drag the left indent marker at the top of the ruler.
  • Drag the left indent marker at the bottom of the ruler.

To set the right indent:

  • Place the cursor on the paragraphs you want to indent.
  • Drag the right indent marker at the bottom of the ruler.
  • This will indent the whole paragraph.

Note: You can also set indents by using Indent Left, Indent Right and Hanging Indent from the Paragraph Menu

Set tab stops: You can set tab stops for a paragraph using the Ruler.

This symbol represent the default tab stops.

To set tab stops:

  • Place the cursor on a paragraphs.
  • Click on the left of the ruler to set the first tab stop.
  • You can set as many tab stops as you want by repeating step 2.

You can also drag the tab stops to another location by placing your cursor on a set tab stop and dragging it left or right.or you can set tabs by choosing Set Tab from the Paragraph menu.
