System Overview
This option displays a brief information about computer configuration, it may contain incorrect information if your Windows Registry is corrupted or you didn’t installed all drivers for you hardware…, for detailed information about each component look at the other items: CPU, Display, Storage, etc.
The Information displayed is related to the computer to which HARDiNFO 2004 was connected, it may be the local computer or a network remote computer.
Computer Model / Type
The Computer Model / Type information is displayed in the following items:
- Computer Manufacturer: This item displays the manufacturer name of the computer. For no name computers this item can contain information about the motherboard manufacturer.
- Computer Model: This item displays the computer model name. For no name computers this item can contain information about the motherboard model.
- BIOS Version: This item displays the BIOS Version number.
- Ports: This item displays the detected Serial, Parallel & USB ports.
Operating System
The Operating System information is displayed in the following items:
- Windows Version: This item displays the Windows version number.
- Build Number: This item displays the Build Number of the operating system and the installed service packs.
- Serial Number: This item displays the operating system serial number.
Storage
The Storage information is displayed in the following items:
- Total Memory / RAM: This item displays the total physical size of the installed memory.
- Harddisk(s): This item displays the physical size of all the installed hard drives.
Display
The Display information is displayed in the following items:
- Display Adapter(s): This item displays model/type information of the intalled display adapter(s).
- Monitor: This item displays the monitor manufacturer & model name.
Multimedia
The Multimedia information is displayed in the following items:
- Sound Card: This item displays the manufacturer & model name of the installed sound adapter manufacturer & model name.
- CD-ROM Drive(s): This item displays the manufacturer & model name of all the installed CD-ROM drives.
Network / Communication Devices
The Network / Communication Devices information is displayed in the following items:
- Installed Modems: This item displays the manufacturer & model name of all the installed fax modem devices.
- Network Adapter(s): This item displays the manufacturer & model name of all the installed network adapters.
Installed Printers
The Printers information is displayed in the following items:
- Installed Printers: This item displays the manufacturer & model name of all the installed printers.
