DiskDrive(s)
This option displays detailed information about the installed diskdrive(s)/harddisk(s).
The Information displayed is related to the computer to which HARDiNFO 2004 was connected, it may be the local computer or a network remote computer.
Physical DiskDrives
The Physical DiskDrives Information Information is displayed in a table under the following items:
- Drive Name/Model: This item displays the diskdrive / harddisk manufacturer & model names.
- Media Type: This item displays the diskdrive media type.
- Interface: This item displays the diskdrive interface type.
- Size: This item displays the diskdrive physical size.
- Partitions: This item displays the total partitions created on the diskdrive.
- Status (S.M.A.R.T.): This item displays the status of the diskdrive.
- Note: The status of the diskdrive supports S.M.A.R.T. enabled diskdrives and can display failure prediction information.
Logical Drives / Partitions
The Logical Drives / Partitions information is displayed in the following items:
- Drive: This item displays drive/partition assigned letter.
- Volume Name: This item displays the drive/partition volume name.
- Drive Type: This item displays the drive/partition type.
- Is Compressed: This item displays the compression status of the drive/partition.
- Supports File Based Compression: This item displays the file based compression capability of the drive/partition.
- File System: This item displays the file system of the drive/partition.
- Size: This item displays the total size of the drive/partition.
- Free Space: This item displays the free space available on the drive/partition.
