Traditional Setup
The settings available are sheet size, drawing sheet scale and border style. AutoCAD's standard controls for Drafting Settings, Dimension Style Manager and Drawing Units setup can also be accessed and set at this stage.
- Select the sheet size (full ISO and ANSI sizes available), followed by the sheet scale (1:1 to 1:2500 available).
- Next choose the border style (pre-set styles are Architectural or Engineering). The Outline option will insert a blank drawing sheet at the requested size. Custom allows for a drawing sheet of your choice to be inserted from anywhere on disk, at the correct scale.
- Choose OK to accept the settings and proceed.
- Where a drawing model already exists, this may be centred on the new sheet. Respond to the displayed message Centre Model on Drawing Sheet? with the Yes or No button.
- Next enter the text attributes that will appear within the title block. Do this by clicking on each text box in turn and entering the relevant details. This includes information based on client name, scale, date and so on.
- Choose OK to accept the changes and exit the dialog.
