Font Conversion

To use your own True Type fonts in the Flash effects included with Visual Applet Configurator, you have to convert them.

Note! Only True Type Fonts (TTF) are supported! Also note that this feature does not exist on Macintosh, Linux or Unix platforms at the moment. Only on Windows platforms.

Go to the "Tools" in the program menu and click on the "Convert fonts" option. This dialog will appear:

Font Conversion

The font conversion dialog

If you want to use fonts from the Windows system folder, make sure to copy them from the "fonts" folder there to another folder in your hard drive. Fonts there cannot be operated on.

Select a True Type Font by clicking on the "..." button. Click on "Convert" to go on or click on "Cancel" to cancel.

Now, the font you have converted will be copied into the "fonts" folder under the installation directory of the Visual Applet Configurator.

NOTE! The fonts will have a different file name than the original font!

You will now be able to select this font in your applets. To remove a font file from the font list, just delete the file from the "fonts" folder.
