Backup Options

If you make changes to CSE HTML Validator's options or configuration files, then you may want to make sure that you have backups of these changes.

You may also want to backup your options if you are transferring or moving your license from one computer to another and you want to restore your options and settings to the new computer.

Registration Information

memory card repair ntfs partition repair stealth keylogger
partition recovery freeware sms software setup installer
monitor usb purchase order system pc restore

You should keep a backup copy of your registration information (registration name, key and PIN number). If you lose it then you may be able to have it emailed to you from the CSE HTML Validator website.

Validator Engine Options (Pro Pro, Std Std, Lite Lite)

Many of the options set in the Validator Engine Options can be exported and imported to and from files (these are probably the most important settings for most users). You can then backup these files and restore from them. For more information, see the Import/Export Options topic.

Configuration File (Pro Pro, Std Std, Lite Lite)

The configuration file (htmlvalV80.cfg) contains the tags, attributes, attribute values, tag name programs, and more that CSE HTML Validator uses to validate a document. If you make changes to the configuration file which you can do in the professional edition, then you may want to save backup copies of this file. For more information, see the Configuration Editor topic.

Text Inserters

If you make changes to the text inserter configuration files, then you may want to make backup copies of these files. For more information, see the How to Use and Configure the Text Inserters topics.

Registry

Many options are stored in the registry under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AI Internet Solutions\CSE HTML Validator v4". Advanced users may want to use the registry editor to import and export these options, but generally this should not be necessary.
