Vector Files

Adding Vector files:

The user can add vector files, by browsing for the file using the “open vector dataset” button.

To add several files, click on “Multiple files” checkbox and browse for each file and then click on the “Add” button.

Removing Vector files:

The user has two options for removing files:
“Remove selected vector dataset from list” to remove selected files
“ Remove all Vector datasets” to remove all vector files

Vector File

Working with Vector files:

When selecting a vector file, the parameters related to this file will be shown in the “Project Properties ” window. A “Vector Field” drop down menu will show all the Fields contained in the vector file.

Important parameters to be considered by the user are the Datum, Projection Group, Projection system and Coordinate system . These will determine the “EPSG Code ” for the vector file.

In order to select the coordinate system, you have to follow the below steps:

1- Select the projection Group:

2- Then select coordinate system, which is in the case Dealul Piscului 1933/ Stereo 33.

Note that the EPSG code for the selected coordinate system is 31600.

In Case of Transverse Mercator projection, a new combo box will appear to select the Projection Datum.

Once the Coordinate System is selected the Projection Properties is displayed in Red
