Diagnostics

Use this screen to detect errors primarily when starting the server. Note that the Log To Diagnostics menu item must be checked in order for data to be logged to the Diagnostics window. You should, under normal circumstances, not keep this option checked for optimal performance.

As an example, to detect a port-in-use error starting the server, deactivate FtpXQ from the Services menu, ensure the Log To Diagnostics menu item is checked, select the Diagnostics... menu item to display the Diagnostics form. Attempt to activate the site normally. If you do not see a new entry in listbox on the Main Console, check the Diagnostics window for any error messages.
