Setting Categories

General Settings

You can change the settings of the application to suit your requirements. Follow any of the given procedure:

In the File menu, click on Settings.

OR

usb restore utility compact flash recovery send bulk sms
data doctor recovery restore file free undelete software download
sim card data recovery data recovery service windows drive restore

In the toolbar, click on the Settings icon.

The Settings dialog displays General, Connection Settings, Proxy Settings, Transfer Log Settings and Transfer Mode Settings tabs.

General: Here you can specify the General Settings related to the application.

Startup Settings: Using Startup Settings you can choose what happens as soon as Auto FTP Manager is launched.

To specify Startup Settings under the General tab, check any or all of the following options:

  1. Run Auto FTP Manager when Windows starts
  2. Minimize Auto FTP manager to system tray. If this is selected, when minimized Auto FTP Manager will appear only in the System Tray, and not as a button on the Task Bar.
  3. Show splash screen on startup
  4. Show Quick Start on application launch
The last two options are checked by default. You can uncheck them if you want.

Security Settings: The Show passwords option is unchecked by default to ensure that passwords in all the profiles are hidden. If you check this option, passwords for all profiles will be seen while creating or editing any profile.

Automated Transfer Settings: You can check the Review action rules before beginning transfer option if you want to see the actions that will be performed before the transfer process actually begins. If this option is selected, transfer will not start as soon as you open the profile. After the files in both folders are scanned, you will be asked to confirm your choice before the actual actions are performed.

To reverse all changes made and return to the program's original General Settings, click Use Default.

Connection Settings

These settings apply to all profiles.

Timeouts and Retries:

After sending a command, Auto FTP Manager waits the Timeout period before determining that the command will not complete successfully and aborting. Retries apply to attempts to log into the FTP server: how many times to try, and how long to wait between tries. The Retry settings are especially important if you are connecting to a busy FTP server, because if all connections are in use, multiple retries might be needed to finally make a connection.

  • Use Give server x minute (s) to respond before aborting to specify how many minutes to wait before aborting.
  • Use Retry Login x times to specify how many times you want to retry login if the login fails.
  • Use Retry Delay x sec (s) to specify the delay in connection retries.
