Exporting Profiles

The Export profile feature can be used to save profiles in situations where you need to format your disc or want to make them available to other Auto FTP Manager users over the network. These profiles can be brought into the application again by using the Import profile feature. To export profiles:

  1. In the File menu, click on Export profile.
  2. Select the All Profiles, Quick Connect profiles or Automated transfer profiles option. Click Next.
  3. Click Browse to Specify the folder location to save the profiles. Check the profiles you want to export from the list. Click Next to start the export.
  4. Click Finish after you see the message "Profile export complete".
Importing Profiles

When you decide to install a newer version, all your Profiles are automatically transferred to the newer version.

All profiles that were exported can be easily imported back. To import profiles:

  1. In the File menu, click on Import profile.
  2. Select the All Profiles, Quick Connect profiles or Automated transfer profiles option. Click Next.
  3. Click Browse to Specify the folder location where the profiles you want to import are present. Click Next.
  4. Check the profiles you want to import from the list. Click Next to start the import.
  5. Click Finish after you see the message "Profile import complete".

Note: If you had been using versions older than 3.5, you can import your Quick Connect Profiles from them. All other type of Profiles have to be created again.
