Active Queue Screen

The Queue is a list of all the files and folders waiting to be transferred. There are two ways that an item can be added to the queue:

  • Transfer the file/folder using the Quick Connect File Manager, by either dragging and dropping it, or using the Transfer button. If a file is added to the queue this way, Auto FTP Manager immediately begins transferring it, and no other files can be added to the queue (for this session) until the transfer is complete.
  • Right-click on the file/folder and choose Add to queue. If this method is used, the file or folder is added to the Queue, but transfer does not begin. This lets you select multiple items and "queue them up", then transfer them all in a single batch.

Note: By navigating on both sides of the File Manager, you can queue transfers with both different destinations and different sources, for instance transferring file ABC.txt to one folder and file XYZ.txt to a different folder.

The Transfer Queue displays the name and size of each file in the list. For the file currently being transferred, it also shows the Transfer Status, and Transfer percentage, helping you to keep track of how long the transfer will take.

The Transfer Queue has its own toolbar:

  • Start begins a transfer (if one has been paused, or if files have been queued without starting the transfer).
  • Pause stops the transfer, but with the option to Start it again if desired. You can pause the transfer, for instance, in order to add more files to the Transfer Queue.
  • Stop pauses a transfer in progress. You can restart it by clicking the Start button.
  • Delete removes the currently-selected file or folder from the Queue. If a file is being transferred when it is deleted, a partial copy will be left at the destination.
  • The Move up and Move down buttons let you change the order in which files will be transferred. Moving files higher in the list means that they will be transferred first.
