Scan Folder Utility

Scan Folder Utility

  • The ScanFolder utility is a simple tool for directory comparison or obtaining information about a single directory.
  • It can be called from Synchromagic by clicking the Compare button or from Synchromagic program group in the Start Menu (ScanFolder).
  • To compare directories choose source and destination and press "Refresh" button.
  • Directories will be investigated and information about each directory will be shown in appropriate boxes.
  • To get information about only one directory leave either source or target empty.

ScanFolder Command line options:

cmp.exe [/i] [[/s:source] | [/lh:host /li:initdir /ln:name /lp:psw /lu:userid]] [[/d:destination] | [/rh:host /ri:initdir /rn:name /rp:psw /ru:userid]]
/i - include subfolders
/s:source - source directory
/d:destination - target directory
/lh:host, /rh:host - ftp host adress
/li:initdir, /ri:initdir - initial directory for ftp
/ln:name /rn:name - any name
/lp:psw /rp:psw - password for ftp connection
/lu:userid /ru:userid - user id for ftp connection

If any of the above names contain spaces, put them in brackets.
Example: cmp.exe /i /s:C/testfold /d:"D:/test/test folder"
