Email Accounts

The Email Account list shows all of your email accounts. Use the Add button to add a new account. Use the Edit and Delete the accounts by selecting an account and clicking on the respective button. Lydia supports up to 15 email accounts.

Email Account Properties

Sorting the Account List
You can rearrange accounts by dragging an account to a new location. To drag an account, place the mouse pointer over the account, click and hold the right mouse button then drag the account to it's new location and release the mouse button.

Address Book
Click the Address Book button to view the address book.

Account Name
Enter a descriptive name for the email account.

Incoming Email

POP Server
Enter the address or host name of your incoming (POP) email server. If you are not sure of this please check with your Internet Service Provider.

User Name
Enter the user ID or login name for the account.

Password
Enter the password for the account.

Do not check for new email on this account
Check this option if you do not want Lydia to check for new email on this account. You will still be able to view email message for the account, you will just not be notified when new email arrives.

Outgoing Email

SMTP Server
Enter the address or host name of your outgoing (SMTP) email server. If you are not sure of this please check with your Internet Service Provider.

Note: Most ISP's restrict who can send email through their SMTP server. Most require that you be connected to their network in order to send outgoing email, some require SMTP Authentication (see below), while others require that the "From" address of email matches the ISP's domain. An incorrect SMTP Server setting can result in a No Valid Recipients Specified error when trying to send email. For more information please visit http://www.kabsoftware.com/kb/data/kb151.htm
