Some of ISPs are now blocking the port 25, meaning that nothing you can do on your system will contact a mail server anywhere else. The FEDE has the ability to bypass the blocking of the 25 port by ISP. In this case you have to use the external socks proxy server. Please check the "Trough Socks Proxy" on the tab page SMTP and fill in the required fields.
Specify your Proxy Server:
FEDE supports SOCKS 4 and 5 Proxy servers.
Address: Proxy-server address. May be either domain or IP-address. Examples: proxyserver.isp.com, 127.0.0.1.
Port: Usually, it is 1080. Don't confuse Socks proxy with http and ftp proxies, which are on 3128 (8080) and 3121 ports by default. The FEDE doesn't work through http or ftp proxies.
Use RFC 1929 authentication
The server requires authentication, i.e. requires user login and password. In most Socks5 realizations, the login and password are transferred as a plain text, as described in RFC 1929 document.
User name: The name (login) of Socks proxy server user.
Password: The password for Socks proxy server use
