DNS Settings

DNS settings:
The DNS-servers can be specified as a domain name or an IP-address. The access time to DNS-servers, which the program uses by default is 2-3 seconds for some users. Using your Internet service provider's DNS, you will shorten this period to half a second. So, this will speed up the checking of your mail list. The program has the ability to automatically determine your Windows DNS settings (you will see them in the 'Windows DNS Settings' window in the Connection Settings).
Additional DNS-server is not necessary but helpful. Program will try to use the secondary DNS if for some reason the primary DNS fails to return valid responds to your DNS query. You can add or edit the DNS-servers addresses using Add, Edit, Remove buttons. After a DNS-server is added you can test it pressing the Test button. The order of the DNS servers can be changed with the arrow buttons.
DNS from TCP/IP Settings
The program will try to automatically determine your DNS settings when the Connection Settings window is displayed. Please note: if you're a Dial-Up user, it is necessary that first you establish the Dial-Up connection for the AEV application to determine the DNS addresses. Otherwise, the program will find no DNS addresses in your current configuration of Windows.
