Monitoring
Print Inspector immediately starts monitoring any printer added to the list of monitored printers. The program intercepts all jobs assigned to the printer by computers in the network. When a job is done, the program writes information about it to the database.
NOTE: It can take about a minute before the job appears in the list.
Let us assume that a user called John prints a document from a computer named JOHNWORK. In this case the following record will appear in the Print Inspector database:

So, the program traces all print jobs by all users and you can easily control them. The window contains the following tabs:
- History - displays all printed jobs for the selected printer.
- Queue - displays the current print queue for the selected printer.
- Users - displays the printer usage statistics sorted by users.
- Computers - displays the printer usage statistics sorted by workstations.
TIP: You can sort the list by any field. Just click the corresponding column header.
See the next topic for detailed description of statistics and reports.
