Adding & Removing Printer

To start working with the program you must specify the printers it should monitor. Log on to the system as an administrator, run Print Inspector and select Add Printer in the main Printer menu (or click the Add Printer button). In the dialog select the printer you want to monitor (local and remote printers are supported).

Add Printer for Monitoring

windows undelete free windows recovery recover data tools
photo recovery digital camera mobile forensics software free keylogger

The printer will be added to the list of monitored printers (see below).

Printer Added

Now Print Inspector is monitoring this printer. To stop monitoring select the Remove Printer item from the Printer menu or click the Remove Printer button.

Setting up service account

In order to allow Print Inspector to monitor network printers you must specify an existing user name and password (for example an administrator account) who can access the network printers. Otherwise Print Inspector will be unable to access non-local printers. If you are not planning to monitor remote printers leave it default.

Print Inspector Settings

Print Inspector system service runs under the account you specify. In this example the service is running under the SYSTEM account.
