Recording Data from Serial Ports of Remote Computer to Local Log File

Combining ComPort/IP Server, ComPort/IP Client and TCP-File gives you a possibility to log a data from a remote computer in two ways.

The first way

On the computer with the equipment connected to its serial port start ComPort/IP Server and configure the TCP/IP port from which data will be sent. On the remote computer start TCP-File in client mode, enter the TCP/IP address and port of the computer where ComPort/IP Server is running, then browse and select a file or enter a filename to create the log file.

The second way

On the computer with the equipment connected to its serial port start ComPort/IP Client, enter the TCP/IP address and port of the remote computer where TCP-File will be started. On the remote computer run TCP-File in server mode, select TCP/IP port to receive data from ComPort/IP Client, then browse and select a file or enter a filename to create the log file.
